Introduction

The USU Portal is the entry point into the product world of the USU group. It is a common front end for various source systems that can bundle the information depending on the use case and enables the user to easily access the source system.

USU Portal supports the maintenance of multiple portal pages. A portal page is a collection of dashlets. The composition can be made according to the requirements of your use case. One Portal page can consist of many dashlets. One dashlet is connected to one source system. Therefore, a portal page can show data from different source systems.

For example, a portal page on the topic of customer self-service: As an end user, you get all information about your incidents, orders, or current news on one page. The data of the individual dashlet used here can come from different source systems.

This documentation covers working with the USU Portal administration client, a stand-alone web application used for creation and administration of the USU Portal.
