Rearrange categories

The easiest way to rearrange categories within the same category level is in the category tree.

1. In the category tree, locate and expand the parent category of the categories you need to reorder.

2. Change the order of categories by dragging the reorder icons at the right of each category.

More complex category structure changes must be done by repositioning individual categories in their category detail.

1. In the category tree, locate and select the category whose position you need to change. The category gets displayed in the detail tab on the right of the tree.

2. Category detail opens in the read mode by default. Click Edit category to switch to the edit mode.

3. Change the Parent category 1st level and Parent category 2nd level fields to reposition the category in the hierarchy.

   Note that a 2nd or 3rd level category can be changed into a higher level category (top, top or 2nd) as long as it does not contain any offers (one level down or directly, respectively).

   1. To change an empty 2nd or 3rd level category into a top level category, set its Parent category 1st level to No parent category (Main category).

   2. To change an empty 3rd level category into a 2nd level category, use the Parent category 1st level field to specify the desired 1st level assignment and set Parent category 2nd level to None.

4. Use the Position in ... field to change the category's position within its parent category.

5. Click Update category at the top of the category detail to save the changes.
