Set category status

A category is by default created as active. This means that the category will be visible to the end user as long as the category or at least one of its active subcategories contain at least one active offer.

If you need to make a category invisible to the end user regardless of its content, set the status of the category to Inactive.

  1. Locate the category in the category tree and select it. The category gets displayed in the detail tab on the right of the tree.

    Click the Category detail opens in the read mode by default.

  2. Category status can be changed in the read mode as well as edit mode, albeit slightly differently.

    1. In the read mode, click the Deactivate category / Activate category button to make the category inactive / active.

      The change is applied immediately.

    2. In the edit mode: Toggle the Active switch to Off / On to make the category inactive / active.

      You need to use the Update category button to save the change.
