Offer detail

Offer detail makes it possible to specify and configure individual offers. Two different modes are available - read and edit mode.

Offer status

  • Both modes: Click the Deactivate offer / Activate offer button to make the offer inactive / active.

    Deactivating hides an offer from the end user. See Set offer status for more information.

Name and description

  • Read mode: Offer name and short description are displayed but cannot be edited.

  • Edit mode: Use the Offer name and Short description fields to specify these attributes. Note respective text length limitations (60 and 254 characters).

Category assignment

  • Read mode: Assigned categories are displayed but cannot be edited.

  • Edit mode: Use the Categories field to assign the offer to one or more categories. See Assign to category for more information.

Availability

  • Read mode: If offer availability is restricted only to certain user roles and/or users, the roles and/or users to whom the offer is available are displayed here.

  • Edit mode: Use this section to enable/disable and specify a restriction on offer availability. See topic Limit offer availability for more information.

Additional currencies

  • Read mode: If the use of additional currencies (to the default Euro) is enabled for the offer, these additional currencies are displayed here.

  • Edit mode: Use this section to specify additional currencies for price values in the offer. See topic Price in multiple currencies for more information.

Images

  • Read mode: Expand the Images section to see what image files are provided for the offer. Offer images can be downloaded but not deleted or added in this mode.

  • Edit mode: Expand the Images section to administer (add, delete, download) the image files provided for the offer. See topic Add images and more info.

Links and request method

  • Read mode: Expand the External link and request method section to see

    • possible link to an external information source provided for the offer.

    • request method specified for the offer (direct requesting only or requesting both directly and via the cart)

  • Edit mode: Expand the External link and request method section to add or edit the external link and change the request method.

Prices

  • Read mode: Expand the Prices section to see prices (one time price, periodical price or both) specified for the offer.

  • Edit mode: Expand the Prices section to specify or change offer prices. See topic Specify price.

Quantity

  • Read mode: Expand the Quantity section to see how the quantity attribute is set up for the offer. (Is quantity relevant? Is it calculated or filled in? Min, max and default values. Labels and tooltips...)

  • Edit mode: Expand the Quantity section to set up handling of the quantity attribute for the offer. Different settings apply to editable versus calculated quantity. See topic Set up quantity for complete information.

Configuration elements

  • Both modes: Expand the Configuration Elements section to set up configuration possibilities of the offer.

    Configuration elements can be either parameters or component groups. These can be reordered, created/added and deleted in the Configuration elements section.

Service request management and fulfillment

  • Both modes: Expand the Service request management and fulfillment section to see how the offer is connected to request fulfilment processing provided by USU Service Management. The following attributes are relevant:

    • BPM correlation key - identifies USU Service Management fulfillment process to be used for the offer

    • Item type - USU Service Management Item type to be associated with the offer

    • Validation status - expresses whether the offer is ready for fulfillment processing

  • Note that the information is read-only as these attributes must be specified in the USU Service Management application. See topic Link with requesting and fulfillment for more information.

Editing

  • Read mode: Click the Edit offer button to switch to the edit mode.

  • Edit mode: Click the Update offer button to save changes made in the edit mode and switch to the read mode . Click the Cancel button to switch to the read mode without saving any possible changes.

More actions

  • Read mode only: Click the ... symbol at the right top of the detail tab to access the following functions:

    • Show as recommended offer - marks the offer as recommended. This results in the offer being displayed in the Recommended offers widget for the end user.

    • Open offer in shop - opens a new browser tab displaying the offer in the shop for end user. Use it to see the result of your customization from the end user perspective.

    • Translate offer - opens in a new tab a USU Localization Manager editor in which translatable attributes of the offer can be translated. See topic Localize an offer for more information.

    • Delete - deletes the offer
