Configure an offer
Offers for complex systems and services can be configured using so called configuration elements. From the Shop administrator point of view, configuring an offer thus means adding and specifying relevant configuration elements to the offer.
Two types of configuration elements are available - offer parameters and option groups.
Offer parameters
Offer parameters | Offer parameters describe attributes of the product or service which are relevant for its provisioning. Various types of offer parameter are supported. |

End user perspective | Offer parameters are represented by input fields of various types. See example images in the End user perspective chapter. |
Option groups
Option groups | Option groups (also called Offer component groups) represent predefined sets of components available as part of the offer. Think hardware components of a computer system or selectable elements of an employee training to be provisioned. The selection logic of an option group is determined by a combination of two characteristics:
Resulting combinations yield 4 types of option groups to distinguish. |

End user perspective | Option groups are displayed as groups of items with check boxes or radio buttons on the left (except for Fixed component groups). Items in the group may be listed with or without price. It may also be possible to specify the quantity of individual items. Each option group has a descriptive header.
